A structure as a book? The design takes inspiration from the structure of the 
Petersen Auto-Motive Museum, its 
location, and its history.



The Petersen Auto-motive Museum is a museum on the history of automobiles, and its structure reflects the motion of wind and speed. 

Details like the perforated patterns and exoskeleton, or outer structure, wrapping around the inner structure inspired the use of die-cuts, peeking at the remains of the past. These include the recollections of those who hold various memories of these past buildings.
